EMILY CASCARINO - Swing

Emily has recently graduated from the ED5 International Full Time Dance course to make her professional music theatre debut in the 10th Anniversary tour of MAMMA MIA!. Emily has worked extensively in television, film and theatre. Her work includes roles in Farscape, Superman Returns, Home and Away, East West 101, and Lana Wood in the NBC mini-series Natalie Wood, Hollywood’s Last Child, with Colin Friels, and Michael Weatherly. Her theatre credits include Kate Gaul’s Blue Heart, Eponine in Les Miserables for Alexander Productions, Juliet in Rehearsal Room's Romeo and Juliet, Sally DeBanis in the Australasian Premiere of Reefer Madness and Nigel Jamison’s Opera Carmen. This performance was followed with Emily understudying the young girl in the Opera Dead Man Walking, starring Teddy Tahu Rhodes. In 2007 Emily shared the stage with a host of Australia’s leading Tap Dancers as a resident dancer in the dance company Tapworks, led by Nathan Sheens and Chris Horsey in the performance No Restrictions. Emily was honored to be the inaugural recipient of the Aussie Theatre Rising Star award in 2007 and her subsequent performance at the Light The Night benefit concert.
